Nick Cannon White Face got you mad?
Well calm down….. and let the Media mogul explain! Nick Cannon stopped by Good Morning America to talk about his new album, White People Party Music and all the controversy surrounding it.
Its been a decade since Cannon put out a record…. he’s been busy running his own record label, artists, hosting t.v. shows amongst being a great husband and father. But Cannon hasn’t forgotten that it takes a little buzz to sell an album and his new album title will definitely get it.
GMA addressed the “white face” criticism and asked Cannon if someone dressed in black face would it be okay? Cannon explained that the two are NOT equal because white face doesn’t exist:
“Black face was a term created in 1869 to describe offensive minstrel shows white face if you look it up and google it its a ski slope in upstate NewYork.
I was doing a character impression but black face is about oppression. …. There’s a big difference between hatred and humor.“
