James Avery who played the father on the 90’s hit show “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” — has died Tuesday … his publicist confirmed. He was 68.
Sources close to the actor tell Welcome 2 Cali he died in an Glendale, CA hospital last night. Avery’s cause of death was complications from open-heart surgery he had undergone in November and it took a turn for the worse late on new years eve.
