Name of Artist/Band and where are you from? 

My name is K-Quick and I am rapper/singer/song writer from Price George’s County Maryland.

How did you break into the music industry?

I’ve been a lover of music for as long as I can remember. I started writing at the age of 7. I finally started to make music professionally at the age of 18.

Choose one adjective to describe your music style?


Your rhyming ability is amazing, how did you learn to rap so fast?

My favorite rappers growing up were Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Busta Rhymes. They rapped at very fast tempos. They were big influences to me in Hip Hop. It definitely took a lot of time and practice. But in due time I perfected it while creating my own style in the process.

Who is your ultimate inspiration?

My father is my biggest inspiration. He made me fall in love with music at a young age because he would play music all of the time. Everything from R&B to Hip Hop to Reggae; he was a fan of it all. It is because of him that I am very eclectic when it comes to making music and being a fan of music in general.

Do you write your own songs? If so, what are your songs about and where do you draw your inspiration?

Yes, I write all of my songs.  My inspiration for my songs is my life. My music is about my happiness, my sadness, my pain, and my struggles, and how I view the world overall. My musical inspiration comes from my experiences and the knowledge I am gaining from them.

What project are you currently promoting and is it available for purchase?

I am currently promoting my debut album “Villain In The White Mask”. It is now available on iTunes. It is a very diverse album, and I can promise it contains music that any music lover will enjoy.

Are you looking for an independent label deal or a major label deal?

Yes, I am definitely looking to get signed and take things to the next level. Whether it is an independent or a major label, I am ready.

How would you define the word “success”?

I define success as being happy and satisfied with where you are and where you will be in life.

What is your biggest career embarrassment?

To be honest I haven’t really had one.

Most memorable moment in creating one of your records?

My most memorable moment was when I finished recording my first song and played it back for the first time. Hearing myself through the speakers was so surreal, but at the same it was so exciting!

who has been the most influential person in your music career?

Michael Jackson. He is my favorite artist of all time. He is another person who has influenced my diversity. He is the artist who motivated me to be an outstanding performer as well as artist. He is definitely my #1 musical influence.

Who is your celeb look-alike?

I have no clue. I have never been told I looked like any celebrities.

what was your first job?

My first job was at Lowe’s Home Improvement

What is your worst Fear?

I used to have a fear of heights when I was little, but not anymore. The only thing I truly fear is God.

What is your guilty pleasure?

I am a Horror film fanatic! That is my favorite genre of movie.

What artists would you love to work with?

I would love to work with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Tech N9ne, B.o.B., The Weeknd, Nas, Onyx, Lady Gaga, Beres Hammond, Morgan Heritage, Three Days Grace, Maroon 5, Phil Collins and Immortal Technique just to name a few.

Any advice or lessons learned in the music industry that you would like to share with other indie artists?

Be careful who you decide to trust. Make sure who ever you let your guard down with is really there to help you build and progress in your journey.

What is the number one thing you hope people get out of your music?

I hope people gain strength and a sense of empowerment from my music. I also hope my music helps people realize that through every struggle that you go through in life, you will prevail because God has a plan for you.
