After a 20 year run with Hot 97, Mister Cee — the famous hip hop DJ who worked with numerous rap legends like Notorious B.I.G. and Big Daddy Kane — has RESIGNED!
His resignation comes after new allegations surfaced that he tried to solicit sex from a male drag queen. To add more fuel to the fire, a male blogger named Bimbo Winehouse published a video of a man who sounds like Cee apparently agreeing to pay $100 for a sex act. ( see below)
“Today is my last day on Hot 97,” Cee announced on the program today … explaining, “In reality, I kind of knew this day would come”
Hot 97 issued a statement saying,
“Due to some personal circumstances that have become public, after 20 years of service, Mr Cee has chosen to resign. We feel that this is in the best interest of both HOT 97 and Cee’s personal well-being. While we do not endorse the alleged activities, he is clearly facing a personal dilemma that is for him and only him to comment on. We are saddened by his departure; his contributions here at HOT 97 were great and we know him as a friend, a caring individual and significant hip hop advocate. We wish Mr Cee the best and will always consider him a family member of HOT 97.
This marks about the third time Cee’s been accused of soliciting sex from a drag queen…. he’s been arrested at least 3 times … once for allegedly trying to pick up an undercover NYPD officer in Brooklyn…. which he still denied being gay but says he has an “addiction to prostitution.”
Moments ago, he officially signed off, on the air and will finish out his last show today on 9-11-2013, an already sad day for New York City.
