Some of you may have been startled, confused, annoyed, woke up out of your sleep… or all of the above on Monday when the first cellphone Amber Alert was issued in Cali.

Believe it or not….. it was very much worth the annoyance! That Amber Alert issued across Southern California was related to two missing children in San Diego; Hannah Anderson,16, and Ethan Anderson, 8.

The suspect is James Lee DiMaggio a 40 year-old white male, 5-feet-9-inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and has currently shaved off the goatee beard seen in the photo below. James is believed to have killed their mother Christina Anderson,44, and Ethan Anderson after two bodies were found Sunday night in the remains of his burned down home in San Diego County. One of the two bodies has been confirmed as Christina while the other body is suspected to be Ethan.

After murdering the mother and possibly Hannah’s younger brother, James is believed to have run away with Hannah Anderson. Hannah’s friends say that DiMaggio was like an uncle figure to Hannah but he had developed a weird ‘crush’ on her recently.

Brett Anderson, the father of Hannah and Ethan, and husband of Christina spoke at a candlelight vigil held Tuesday night at El Capitan High School in Lakeside, California. Ironically, a couple months ago Brett moved away from his family for a new job in Tennessee.

Amber Alerts sent out Monday described the car DiMaggio is believed to be traveling in: a blue Nissan Versa with California license plate 6WCU986.

Authorities believe he may be making his way north to Canada. Anyone with information on the case is asked to HELP and call the homicide detail at (858) 974-2321 or (858) 565-5200, or San Diego County Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.

Friends and family held a vigil for the girl last night, after an Amber alert was issued.
