Free at Last!
The 37-year old rapper was released from Ray Brook Federal Prison today after serving his sentence for tax evasion and illegally possessing a gun. Ja Rule release date was originally set for sometime during July of this year.
A source close to the situation says that Ja isn’t completely off the hook just yet. Jeffrey Atkins will remain on house arrest until July 28th.
The rapper was sentenced 2 years back in 2010 after authorities found a semi-automatic handgun in his sports car, and 28 months in jail back in 2011 for tax evasion.
