Beyonce and Andre 3000 drop their cover of Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back to Black’…..and honestly they shouldn’t have!!
They don’t do the song ANY JUSTICE!! Beyonce redoing an Amy Winehouse song is just as bad as Gwyneth Paltrow being crowned the most beautiful woman in the world….it just don’t MATCH!!
Amy Winehouse voice had a sound that was timeless and classic…full of SOUL!! And Beyonce just doesn’t have it!
Think we’re exaggerating much?! Well, Amy Winehouse dad, Mitch was just as disappointed with the cover….he told the UK’s Daily Mail he was dissatisfied with the song in its ENTIRETY, both Andre 3000’s rap and Beyonce….he felt she brought NOTHING to the remake! #we agree Mitch!!
To make matters even worse, Mitch said no one on Team Beyonce or “Gatsby” asked his permission for the cover..so he suggested that Bey make a nice fat donation to the Amy Winehouse Foundation
“They have got to pay for the privilege, which is what they are doing. I can’t tell you how much it is but it’s a lot of money.”
