That’s right, Wesley Snipes is out of jail! Snipes was finally released from prison after serving a three-year sentence for TAX EVASION!! C’mon government….shouldn’t jail be saved for much more violent offenders? Community service would have been far more appropriate.
Well, Wesley Snipes is ALMOST a free man, after nearly three years in prison he was released this week from a Pennsylvania prison BUT transferred to HOUSE ARREST for the federal tax evasion charges. The Blade star was found guilty of not paying as much as $15 MILLION to the government for his earnings from 1999 to 2001 including money he made over seas. His tax advisers, Douglas P. Rosile and Eddie Ray Kahn were also jailed and his lawyers tried to use them as their argument to get Snipes out of jail, but it obviously didn’t work….everybody went to jail!
Ironically, his release comes only two weeks before before tax day! Mr. Wesley please pay your taxes this year, we don’t want to see you end up in jail over money…and make sure you get a good accountant that doesn’t lie to you about paying taxes!
