Lakers center Dwight Howard’s return to Orlando was definitely a night to remember. Howard was booed by fans during pregame warm ups and introductions. Many fans had signs dissing D12 calling him names like Diva 12, Dwight Coward, Judas, etc. Howard fed right into the fans and even had ongoing dialog with a few lucky fans during the game. In all it appeared the attention worked to Howard’s advantage as he had a season high 39pts and 16 rebounds on a whopping 25-39 free throw performance. Sheesh 39 free throws? Looks like Magic coach Jacque Vaughn had it out for Howard.
Lakers fans are probably hoping this is a sign of great things to come for the Lakers and Dwight Howard. If he can continue to dominate like he did tonight the Lakers can be a major contender in the west for that 2013 NBA championship.
