Is beating on women IN or What?!! Pittsburgh Steelers running back Chris Rainey was arrested this morning in Florida for slapping his girlfriend during an argument over a cell phone!! According to Gainesville police.
Officers responded to a 911 call from witnesses who claimed they saw Rainey attack his girlfriend ate she took his cell phone, and tried to lock herself in Rainey’s roommate’s car.
The police report sates that witnesses saw Rainey drag his girlfriend out of the passenger seat and slapped her in the face in the process, causing them both to fall to the ground.
Witnesses say Chris GF the took off again with the cello phone in her purse…and Rainey continued to chase, eventually grabbing her purse, causing them both to fall again. Police say neither of the two appeared visibly injured after the fight.
Rainey has been charged with on court of simple battery, misdemeanor, and he’s currently in custody.
