Battle of the divas continues……
Its no secret that Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey do NOT get along!
If you ever wondered if their feud was a publicity stunt, think again. The tension between the two was very evident at Tuesday’s TCA panel in Los Angels, Ca.
Tyring their best to play down the spat from last year, Carey explains below….
‘This is a passionate panel,’ said Carey. ‘There are a lot of strong personalities. The fight is what it is. This is American Idol. It’s bigger than all of that. But this is not just a big trumped-up thing.
‘The whole thing is convoluted, and it’s a distraction from the show and the contestants, and I think it’s unfair to them really.’
According to the blog Vulture.com a journalist then asked the warring women to say something nice about each other.
Nicki, 30, went first and said: ‘I say nice things about Mariah all the time. She is one of my favourite artists of all time.
‘To be on a panel with her, it’s kind of crazy. All the singers come in aspiring to be Mariah in terms of talent and in terms of career length.’
Mariah apparently ‘flinched’ before replying:
‘That was a very sweet thing to say. We did a song that was from my album and it was called, ironically, Up Out My Face. It was one of my favorite songs.’
Mariah added: ‘And I did feel like she was going to go very far and still have that feeling. I am grateful for anything nice that she or anyone has to say.
Although both stars seem to have agreed to put it all behind them, in an interview with ET right after sharing a panel with Nicki Minaj, Mariah leaves us mixed because she didn’t have anything nice to say….peep the interview below…
