Chris Lighty dead after he allegedly shot himself in the head.
He is the longtime manager of 50 cent, Diddy, Ja Rule and Mariah Carey and sources say Lighty was involved in an argument with his estranged wife at his Bronx, Ny apartment. After the heated argument, he stepped outside, a gunshot was heard and his body was found lying face-up with a 9-mm pistol next to his body.
The motive for suicide could have easily been over financial struggles being that sources from law enforcement said Chris Lighty — who divorced his wife, Veronica, last year — may have been dealing with financial struggles, including owing about $5 million to the IRS.
Immediately after the tragic news of Lighty’s death, celebs began tweeting their condolences.
“R.I.P. Chris Lighty, That man saved my life” posted Fat Joe on his Twitter account. “I Would Be Nothing Without YOU!!! My Kids Appreciate YOU God Bless Chris Lighty.”
