Hip-Hop Heads Stand Up!
Nicki Minaj ended up a “no show” at Summer Jam 2012 leaving many of her fans disgruntled. However on the positive side, Nicki’s absence led to a full set from Nas and Lauryn Hill.
All the real conscious hip-hop lovers enjoyed the night. Lauryn’s vocal, lyrical ability and breath control was absolutely impressive. Her summer jam performance reminded everyone that artists before YMCMB blended real hip-hop and singing without disrespecting the roots of Hip-Hop.
