Dangerus Diva. Born and raised in the sunshine state, California!
How did you break into the music industry?
I wouldn’t consider it ‘breaking into the industry’ because music is more of a way of life for me. I breathe, eat and sleep Music, its in my DNA. Growing up I was surrounded by my mother and her extremely talented family of self taught musicians and singers. I started off singing in my swinger which led to my first solo in church at the tender age of two. Although music was and still is my passion, I full-filled my parents dream and put education first and now I feel its time to step into my musical greatness!

Melodic
Do you write your songs as well? If so, what are your songs about and where do you draw your inspiration?
Yes, I love to write. My songs are about Life in general, love and happiness and all the excitement that comes along with it.
What project are you currently promoting and is it available for purchase?
“It’s My Birthday” a celebration anthem! A birthday is one thing that everyone has in common. I was inspired by the addictive beat produced by my husband, AP 1nabillion to bring a new r&b, hip-hop flavor to the original Happy Birthday song. Its my first single, which released in all digital stores August 20th, 2011 and is currently being added to radio stations nation wide, I’m very pleased to say!
If you could sign with any label which would it be and why?
How would you define the word “success”? Success=motivation. Striving for excellence, people who are motivated by the possibility of creating something big that would impact the world are great examples of success.
What is your biggest career embarrassment?
Performing live with no microphone. The show had a horrible setup, the engineer didn’t know what she was doing and my husband had to take over and turn my microphone on. But, I made the most of it! I kept singing like there wasn’t anything wrong…but inside I’m like, “what is this lady doing?!”
Most memorable moment in creating one of your records?
During the time that I wrote my up and coming single, ‘Say Hi’. I felt such a joy that was overwhelming! I know in my heart its a hit record and I can’t wait to share it with the world.

Keshia Knight Pulliam and Tatiana Ali
Who has been the most influential person in your music career?
My mother. She can blow!! I used to follow her around the house learning all her riffs and runs, aspiring to sing just like her!
What is your worst Fear?
Crickets! j/k…I fear no one but God….with God on my side, why should I fret?!

Any advice or lessons learned in the music industry that you would like to share with other indie artists?
Apply yourself! Don’t be lazy, educate yourself…Knowledge is power. You shouldn’t just expect to learn from somebody else’s words, we live in a technology age. Research and find out the true meaning of things for yourself even if it is coming from a source that you trust. Overall, you will have the confidence of knowing that whatever happens is a direct result of your own decision.
