Miguel released a compelling new music video for his latest single, “Candles In The Sun.”
Different from his usual bedroom tunes, Miguel stepped it up and showed us a different side of his artistry touching real social economic issues. Crime, poverty, war crime, the church, natural disasters and signs of a corrupt government are just some of the topics and scenes that you see throughout the touching music video.
“Is there a God?/Is he watching?/Is she watching?/Are they watching now?/If not, what are we doing?/Where are we going?” sings Miguel in the intro of the song. The black and white music video directed by Sarah McCoolghan captures the essence of the song addressing the concerns of life that Miguel sings about.
“Candles In The Sun” definitely showcases just why Miguel was Grammy-nominated for his sophomore album, Kaleidoscope Dream.
