Actress Gabrielle Union was keeping it real when she chastised the national media today via twitter.
This tweet came after Gabby saw headlines about a dead panda from Washington D.C take precedence over the scary amount of teenagers loosing their lives to street violence in Chicago.
Just this past weekend in Chicago, 4 stabbings occurred, 14 people were wounded in different shootings and 3 people were killed. One of the persons killed in Chicago was 14-year-old honor student Dajae Coleman. Dajae was shot to death while walking home from a party less than one mile from home.
The boy’s father, Richard Coleman, gave Dajae permission to go to the party but instructed his son to call him for a ride home.
“How you gonna tell a kid with good grades, star basketball player, ‘No, you can’t go out?’” Richard Coleman said. “The last thing he said to me was, ‘Yeah, I’m gonna call you, Dad.’ (He) never called.”
