Is Beyonce getting too high and mighty….
First it seemed like Beyonce had some gender issues going on when she started calling herself ‘King B’ and last week when we heard audio from the 1986 Challenger spaceship explosion as apart of her new song, XO we learned that Bey can be insensitive when she wants to get her point across.
But this week the diva has some how found a way to top all of the above! In a new photo posted to her instagram account, Beyonce sits smack dab in the front and center of a painting depicting the “Last Supper,” as if she wanted to replace the almighty JESUS.
We all know Beyonce loves attention and is no stranger to sparking controversy…. But she took it too far with this photo and some of her followers are letting “Beysus” know that she could NEVER be their savior.
“Jesus Christ is my savior, not you. Besides that, I love Beyoncé, but you will never be God,” reads one comment. Another fan wrote: “#Classless #noclass #disrespectful.”
Tim Wildmon, president of American Family Association, said in a statement.
“Is nothing sacred anymore? This is clearly an act of disrespect towards Jesus Christ, whom Beyoncé covers up with her pose,”
Beyoncé has drawn more and more criticism since she posted the picture on Monday (Dec. 30th.) The superstar has yet to apologize.
Was this Blasphemy?
