Good news Californians….
Los Angeles Lakers head coach Mike D’Antoni has just RESIGNED from his position. Its not easy replacing an 11-time NBA champion coach like Phil Jackson.. but somebody’s gotta do it! We’re just glad D’antoni realized that he wasn’t the one… he might have forced Kobe into early retirement! D’Antoni’s agent, Warren LeGarie, told ESPNLosAngeles.com that his client and the Lakers “hit an insurmountable impasse” and that “Mike will no longer be the Laker coach.” No word yet on who will be coaching the laker team next, however with only 3 players contracted for next season (Kobe, Steve Nash) lets cross our finger for the top pick in the NBA draft! Lakers great Magic Johnson took to twitter to express his feelings about the news..and he didn’t bite his tongue! see below… Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak spoke about D’Antoni resigning with this statement: “On behalf of the Lakers, we thank Mike for the work ethic, professionalism and positive attitude that he brought to the team every day. We wish him the best of luck.” The search for a new head coach for the Lakers has begun…. Can we say PHIL! Lol, Who do you think should get the position?
