Has Mariah Carey lost it……
There’s no doubt that MC use to blow back in the day, however now that she’s gotten older her voice is not as strong as it use to be. You can’t help but notice how much Mariah Carey struggles to hit her notes when she’s on stage during her performances….I cringe in my seat when listening to her hoping that she can hit her notes and make it all the way through her songs.
On the season finale show of American Idol last night, Mariah performed a seven-minute medley of some of her BIGGEST hits, including Vision of Love, Make it Happen and Hero, before ending with #Beautiful, her latest single.
And it was obvious she didn’t sing live but apparently she doesn’t even know the words…. The performance was pre recorded most of the time a few times and in the version shown on tv they dubbed the sections that required multiple layers….that is why most vocals sound too good to be true#flawless. I’m giving you behind the scenes of the music business 101, ladies and gentlemen! So when you hear artists retort back and say ‘I DID SING LIVE’ it is partially true… Mariah still sang live but with layers of dubbed audio/vocals….its funny how audiences are just now recognizing this as of recent, because entertainers have used this tactic for years now.
Last night some critics took to twitter to vent their frustrations on Mariah Carey lip sync’d performance, see below:
‘Hahaaa Mariah Carey’s Idol Finale Performance Could Be The Worst Lip Syncing Of All Time,’ wrote @FSBigBob, while @Joey O’Hern tweeted: ‘Mariah, you look great…but your lip-synching was off. Good try though!’
Her rep, however, said not only did she sing live, but she also entertained the audience with additional songs in between live shots.
