Weiner gives reporters an idea of what to expect, size-wise

NEW YORK CITY—Former U.S. Congressman Anthony Weiner recently launched a new Twitter account amid rumors that the Democrat is exploring a possible run in the upcoming race for mayor of New York City. In 2011, Weiner deleted his previous Twitter account and resigned from Congress in disgrace after news broke that he had posted horribly low-quality pictures of his penis on Twitter.
“The pictures were obviously amateurish,” Weiner says, “I was very new to photography and didn’t see it as the art form it truly is. I’m a pretty vein-y guy, so obviously I’m gonna have a really vein-y dick. I foolishly decided to focus on the veins.”
Weiner says the embarrassment of being associated with such low-rent cock shots was the primary reason he left both Congress and Twitter. But he says two years of photography classes have finally given him the confidence to start Tweeting again. He says he is waiting to see how the public responds to his next round of dick pics before deciding whether to run for NYC mayor.
“If registered voters say no to my dick, they’re probably going to say no to me as mayor,” Weiner says, “Our mantra right now is, ‘If the wiener looks good on the phone, the Weiner will look good on the throne.’”
Since launching his new Twitter account, Weiner has avoided any references to his dick. It is a deliberate strategy, he says, designed to build anticipation among his followers. But he also realizes that with the anticipation comes a certain amount of expectation.
“Look, everyone wants to see my dick; I know that and I accept it. Hell, I embrace it,” Weiner says, “But I’m not going to make the same mistakes I made last time by posting shots that look like every day internet porn. I’m experimenting with softer filters and natural light, and trying to downplay some of the vein-yness. And I’m learning that harder isn’t always better. I’ve got several shots that are half-staff, and some even totally flaccid. I want my followers to see different sides of my junk.”
