Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian are being accused profiting money off of their charity for cancer called Cathy’s Kids. $2.2 Million have been raised for research and study , but not a penny has helped any children in need. Acoording to a new report when the NBA star was asked about the shocking allegations, he reportedly replied, “It’s my money.”
ESPN conducted its “Outside The Lines” investigation of more than a hundred charities attached to top athletes, including Odom. It uncovered 115 of these high-profile charities were not passing out raised profits properly, with more than 74% of the charities being a little “sketchy”.
Odom, with 8 years of tax records revealed that his charity, Cathy’s Kids- named i honor of his deceased mother who died of stomach cancer -has not givenany money to cancer-related causes since its creation in 2004. In addition, the investigation says $1.3 million went to two AAU basketball teams.
Furthermore, 2011 tax reports show that Cathy’s Kids is $256,000 in debt, mostly sue to a loan Odom made to the charity, according to his business manager Lester Knispel, who is also the charity’s treasurer.
