On Sunday, a statement circulated from the Facebook of Actor Morgan Freeman which blamed the media for sensationalizing the killer of the Newton School shooting.
“It’s because of the way the media reports it,” the phony statement read in part. “Turn on the news and see how we treat the Batman theater shooter and the Oregon mall shooter like celebrities. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris are household names, but do you know the name of a single ‘victim’ of Columbine?
The statement couldn’t be more true, ever since the shooting massacre happened it has been unavoidable on television. However, Morgan doesn’t want anything to do with it. His publicist has since refuted that the statement is from the award winning actor, claiming it to be a hoax!
The statement goes on to say that mentally ill people like Adam Lanza will attempt a day care center or maternity ward next because of sensationalist media.
