Mariah Carey was late to the BMI Urban Music Awards, but that didn’t stop her from winning nor did it stop other artists from literally singing her praises.
Gospel Legend, Karen Clark Sheard brought down the house when she performed Mariah Carey’s classic hit record, “Anytime You Need a Friend.”
Most R&B singers like Mariah Carey, have been influenced by Gospel Music especially the legendary Clark Sisters. Interesting enough, Karen Clark Sheard took the time to share that she too even studied Mariah and referred to her as “the greatest!”
R&B singers Fantasia and Joe gave awesome tribute performances to the BMI honoree Mariah Carey, but just when you thought it couldn’t get any better my girl Karen Clark sang and took em to chuch!
