A new custody agreement for Michael Jackson’s children is being approved by legendary singer, Diana Ross.
Why Diana Ross? Well, Ms. Ross and Jackson were longtime friends before his death in 2009. She was listed on MJ’s will as the back-up guardian not Tito Jackson Jr., but because all of the children are in agreement for their cousin ‘TJ’ to share custody, Diana is happy.
According to Radaronline, Diana Ross ultimately wants what is best for the kids, she believes the kids are old enough to make the decision on guardianship.
“Diana knows that the children are old enough to decide who they want to live with and she defers to what they want. While Diana hasn’t been a big part of their lives because she lives on the East Coast, she is very fond of them,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online.
The paperwork is expected to be submitted by Ross this week for shared custody and the judge will have to sign off the proposed agreement before it becomes official.
TJ, 34, filed for temporary guardianship in court after he bizarrely filed a missing persons report on his grandmother, Katherine Jackson. She later turned up at an Arizona Spa and refuted claims that she was missing.
Judge Beckloff went on record saying that he didn’t believe Katherine Jackson had done anything wrong but suspended her guardianship duties because she had been out of contact with her grandchildren for over a week.
TJ as co-guardian will not only receive money from the new custody arrangement but also have control over the staff and day-to-day operations of the home where Janet, Randy, and Jermaine were denied entry.
