Turns out Singaporeans have the same taste buds as us Californians when it comes to good and juicy burgers.
When Cali based fast-food chain, In-N-Out Burger decided to pop up in Singapore for a one day promotion from 11a.m. to 3 p.m., the company sold out in a record of five minutes!!
Hundreds of customers began lining up at 9:30 a.m. and in less than 5 minutes every available 300 wristbands were passed out.
The standard menu of 3 items were sold; burgers, fries and shakes with the choice of the Double Double, Animal style or protein style according to Singapore lifestyle website Insing.com
The family owned business has sold the same 3 items for the pass 64 years and counting. Till this day any In-N-Out you find in California during any hour of the day will have a line in the drive-thru wrapped around the streets on top of the inside crawling with customers waiting to order.
This may find you asking, what separates In-N-Out burger from the other burger joints around….Quality, Quality, Quality! The company doesn’t freeze nor pre-package their food, they make everything from scratch the good, old-fashioned way.
I’ve always wondered why their successful fast-food chain hasn’t expanded to other cities in the U.S. and other countries, they seriously need to put Mc Donald’s out of business!
However, Singapore was one of the several pop-up promotions taking place around the globe, other cities have included Sydney, Australia; Tokyo, Japan; and Seoul, South Korea. Sounds like they are testin’ the waters to expand, right?
After such a great response in Singapore, In-N-Out should at least reconsider opening permanently in Singapore, I definitely would!
