Vanessa Bryant filed for divorce Friday from her husband, Los Angeles Lakers Superstar Kobe Bryant, in Orange County Superior Court.
The divorce would end a 10-year 6month marriage. Vanessa Bryant stood by her husband in 2003 when Kobe was accused of sexually assaulting a worker at a Colorado hotel.
A computer court record filed Friday at the Orange courthouse provided no details about the divorce.
The couple released the following statement through a publicist: “The Bryants have resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately with the assistance of counsel and a Judgment dissolving their marital status will be entered in 2012. We ask that in the interest of our young children and in light of the upcoming holiday season the public respect our privacy during this most difficult time.
